What Sam can read

Sam can read campaigns, prospect lists and full saved prospect profiles. That includes names, saved contact details, campaign status, sending accounts and messages. Sam can search and read workspace inbox conversations, including conversations outside a campaign.

Sam can also read your saved knowledge, ideal customer profiles, setup progress, settings, activity, reply and comment drafts, posted comments, shared lists and performance reports. Sam can export prospect lists, analytics and failed campaign records. Reading saved data does not contact anyone.

What Sam can set up and change

Sam can save and edit knowledge, ideal customer profiles, personalization choices, meeting settings and draft messages. Sam can organize the inbox, assign conversations, categorize messages and change reply drafting settings.

Sam can create and copy campaign drafts, attach approved audiences, choose an available workspace sender, edit messages and settings, and prepare schedules and message tests. Sam can pause campaigns, stop follow-ups, move prospects, change statuses and maintain your do-not-contact list. These changes do not start a campaign.

Sam can manage the companies, hashtags and profiles watched for commenting, save guidance you wrote, and revise, reopen, reject or save comment drafts for later. Sam can save performance insights without emailing them.

Some changes have extra limits. Workspace inbox and reply settings, custom inbox categories, voice and outreach settings, commenting configuration and workspace preferences need an owner or admin. Pausing all campaigns also needs an owner or admin. Campaign language, sign-off and timing changes need an inactive campaign. Message tests need a draft or paused campaign. Only non-active campaigns can be archived.

A writing voice built from your posts is a preview until you consent to saving it in Sam. Profile refreshes show the shared allowance cost before you confirm in Sam. A pending list can be retired only when its history confirms it was never approved. Sam cannot turn on automatic comment approval through this connection.

Searches and imports

LinkedIn searches and imports use your LinkedIn search allowance. Sam shows a preview before running a people search, importing a Sales Navigator lead list or running a saved search. Review the preview and approve it before Sam starts.

LinkedIn event attendee imports also show a preview first. It includes the event link, sending account, list name and search allowance. Sam imports attendees only after you approve that preview. Pasting an event link alone never starts an import.

Imported prospects land in a pending list in Data Approval, never directly in a campaign. Importing does not contact anyone. List approval and campaign launch are separate steps.

Sam can also look up LinkedIn profiles, posts, jobs, company employees, first-degree connections and possible warm introductions. You can ask for a business search plan without running it or buying data. Sam can import businesses and contacts you supply into one pending list, linking existing records without changing them. CSV uploads are completed in the Sam app.

Approval for actions

Permission to connect Sam is separate from permission to take these actions. These approval rules apply:

• Draft campaign launches: Sam needs two separate approvals in your AI assistant, first review, then confirm. Both approvals must cover the same draft campaign version. If that version changes, Sam needs fresh approvals.
• Replies to prospects: Sam sends only after you click Allow on Sam's send step in your AI assistant. Approval covers only the exact text, recipient, sender, channel and subject shown. You can also use the approval link in Sam.
• Comment posting: Comments need your approval, unless automatic posting is turned on in Sam; then comments on profiles Sam watches can be posted without asking each time.
• Prospect list approvals: one approval for each list. Approving the list does not launch a campaign or send a message.
• List shares: your approval before sharing a prospect list with a client.

Preparing or editing a draft does not approve sending it. Checking an approval status does not grant approval. Sam can also withdraw access to a previously shared list.

Workspaces

Sam can open and work in every workspace you can open in the Sam app, with the same permissions you have there. This includes client workspaces that staff can access. Staff actions are recorded as staff.

Workspace members can work with drafts and available shared sending accounts within their permissions. Viewers can read, but cannot edit drafts or send. Owner and admin restrictions still apply. Access to another workspace does not remove any action approval step.

What stays in the Sam app

Connect or disconnect LinkedIn and email accounts in the Sam app. Sam can open an account setup page from your AI assistant, but you complete the connection in the app. File uploads, saving a prepared writing voice and confirming profile refreshes also take you to Sam.

Billing and integration management stay in the app. This connection cannot manage secrets, proxy settings, data residency or autonomy controls.

How to revoke access

In the Sam app, open Settings > AI assistants (MCP) and open the connection page for your AI assistant. Under Your assistant connections, disconnect the connection you want to revoke.

For example, for Claude choose Connect Claude, then find the connection under Your assistant connections. To use Sam through that connection again, reconnect and review the consent screen.
