Connect Sam to ChatGPT

You can work with Sam inside ChatGPT. You sign in with your own Sam account. There is no key to create.

Which ChatGPT plans work

• Business, Enterprise and Edu: Sam can read and act.
• Pro: Sam can only read.
• Free and Go: you can't add Sam.

Before you start

Copy your Sam connector address. In Sam, open Settings > AI assistants (MCP) > Connect ChatGPT and click Copy address. The address is:

On the same screen you can click Download Sam icon if you want to give the connector Sam's icon.

Add Sam

1. In ChatGPT, open Plugins in the left sidebar.
2. Click Add (top right), then Add custom MCP server.
3. Name: Sam. Description: Sam, your AI Sales Manager.
4. Under Connection, keep Server URL and paste the Sam address.
5. Authentication: OAuth.
6. Tick I understand and want to continue, then click Create as a plugin.
7. Connect. Sign in to Sam if asked, pick your workspace and click Allow.
8. In a chat, type @Sam or pick Sam from the tools.

What you approve

The consent screen lists what Sam can do: read your data, set up your workspace, build audiences, edit campaigns and drafts, and contact people. Contacting people always needs your approval of each exact action. Allowing the connector approves no sends.

When Sam adds new abilities

Open Settings > Plugins > Sam in ChatGPT and click Refresh tools. If Sam asks you to reconnect for newer access, reconnect and approve the updated consent screen.

Manage or disconnect

In Sam, open Settings > AI assistants (MCP) > Connect ChatGPT. Under Your assistant connections, you can disconnect a connection. A connection unused for 90 days stops working until you reconnect.
